| About Operation Reboot!
Operation Reboot is a student organization at Irvine Valley College dedicated to bringing the power of computers to disadvantaged individuals in our community. Reboot was brainstormed and formed in the Spring of 2009 by three Irvine Valley College students with the goal of aiding individuals in need with the gift of computers.
Goals
- Strive to provide computers to aid in the education and lives of disadvantaged individuals.
- Support Free Open Source Software and encourage others to do so as well.
- Educate about computers, both software and hardware
- Provide an opportunity for Computer Science and related majors at Irvine Valley College to organize in a common interest.
Activity
- Inspect, inventory, diagnose, and refurbish computers and parts
- Implement Free Open Source Software, including Ubuntu Linux and Open Office, on the computers
- Provide educational material and instruction on computers and software
- Organize and attend events of interest to Computer Science majors and computer enthusiasts
Services and Fundraising
Operation Reboot offers services to raise funds to support our operational costs and organizing events and activities.

- Donation CDs offering Free Open Source Software
